I'm a Senior Software Engineer at Baylor College of Medicine, working across applied AI and machine learning, clinical NLP, LLM systems, data engineering, and full-stack development.

Most of my work involves taking an idea from early research to a dependable application: preparing clinical data, developing and evaluating models, designing databases and pipelines, building web interfaces, and deploying the resulting system.

My background is in computer science research. During my Ph.D. at New Mexico State University, I studied indexing and query processing for high-dimensional similarity search. That experience continues to shape how I approach engineering problems: understand the data, measure the trade-offs, and build for practical use.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, exploring national parks, and following space and astronomy (interests that also shaped the visual design of this site).
